LSU football has shocked the nation so far this year. They currently sit at No. 5 in the nation and are getting ready for the most trying month of their season.

The Bayou Bengals are good and many are shocked by it. Coached by Ed Orgeron, this team has gone to places that many didn’t think possible under a man who seems to barely speak in full coherent sentences.

However, this month brings the Florida Gators, the Georgia Bulldogs and then Mississippi State. Even scarier for them, they will be spending the month preparing for those teams as well as preparing for Alabama in the first week of November.

Without further ado, let’s get bold ladies and gentlemen.

5. This is the best LSU team we have seen in a while.

The Tigers have had quite a few big name players come out of the program in the past years. However, they haven’t really crossed the bridge to being true contenders- especially not since Les Miles left and Ed Orgeron took over the program. For the longest time, I wasn’t convinced that Orgeron could take this team anywhere special. Now though, he is proving me wrong.

First of all, Orgeron went out and picked up Joe Burrow after he chose to transfer from Ohio State. That has changed how this team operates. He has taken this team and brought it to a point that they could contend for a spot within the College Football Playoff. If they are able to make that jump from an SEC West fighter to a team that could knock out Alabama, October is the month to do it, to show that this team has what it takes.
