2. Dwayne Haskins won’t throw pick, rises to top of Heisman race

This one really isn’t all that bold, but I’m predicting he’s the No. 1 Heisman contender through the month of October. No, there won’t be many ‘Heisman moments’ against the likes of Indiana, Minnesota and Purdue, but Haskins will do just enough against each of them to improve his stats and put up a near-perfect first two months of the year.

In his first five games, Haskins has thrown for 1,464 yards and 19 touchdowns with just two interceptions and he’s completing over 70 percent of his passes. We’ll see more of the same in the coming weeks.

That two-interception performance from the first month will all we see, turnover-wise, from Haskins through the month of November.

As you probably already put together, he won’t play much in the second halves of the coming three games, but that doesn’t mean he won’t have over 300 yards passing per game anyway. This kid is going to have a monstrous month and mold into Urban Meyer’s best quarterback yet.

No interceptions and a Heisman favorite? Ohio State has itself a gem.
