2. The Texas defense forces three turnovers

The propensity to swing for the fences is going to get Kyler Murray in trouble more than once. As good as the talented dual-threat quarterback is, he’s proven to make some questionable decisions throughout his college football career.

Murray threw more interceptions at Texas A&M (seven) than he threw touchdown passes (five). He’s matured significantly on the field over the past two seasons, but the level of competition he’s going to face on Saturday is a step above what the Sooners have run into so far this season.

Texas ranks second in the Big 12 in interceptions forced with six. They have the No. 2 passing defense in conference play and have allowed one passing touchdown in their two conferences games thus far. Murray has swagger, but he’s going to need more than that in a rivalry game of this magnitude.

Muray equals his 2018 interception total, tossing two picks against the Longhorns. One more fumble puts the Sooners into a hole, setting up another photo finish in a series that always seems to deliver plenty of drama.
