Texas A&M football hosts the Kentucky Wildcats, in what could be the most important game of the season. Here are three bold predictions for the game.

In a game that no one thought would be as important as it seems to be becoming, Texas A&M will face off against undefeated Kentucky on Saturday night at Kyle Field. This will be a battle between two talented teams who have shown their ability to make life hard for team after team that they face.

Now, they face off against each other in a game that could seriously impact how Kentucky’s season shapes up in the SEC East. For the Aggies, they aren’t winning a conference championship this season, but they could still finish with a strong record and play a big time bowl game. This game is the starting point on that journey.

So, without beating around the bush any further, let’s talk bold predictions.

3. This will be a battle in the trenches all night long.

Texas A&M and Kentucky both have a strong running game, Kentucky even more so. This game will be about protecting the quarterback and about stopping the run. If the Aggies can’t shut down Benny Snell, they are going to have issues. They’ll need to protect Kellen Mond and allow Trayveon Williams holes to run through, otherwise, it’s going to be a long day for the maroon and white.

Of course, the same is true for Kentucky. They’ll need to protect Terry Wilson and continue to allow Benny Snell to run as strong and hard as he has been. Basically, no matter how this game is advertised- the focus is and should be on the offensive and defensive line play. That is where this one will be won or lost for either team. Both defenses, at least on the line, have been strong and reliable. Who will win on Saturday though when they go head to head?
