1. Florida defense is good, but Feleipe Franks is questionable at best

If we learned one thing about the Florida Gators this afternoon, it is that the defense is pretty darn good. They were able to push around the LSU offense, especially Joe Burrow who wasn’t able to really get his running game going like he wanted to. The Gators defense kept the Tigers on their heels and it brought them a win that will be big for their resume and a killer for the Tigers.

However, it is important to notice that Franks really isn’t that great. He isn’t going to take this team on an unbelievable run to win the East- that is for sure not going to happen. If I am wrong, well, it wouldn’t be the first time for that to happen. However, right now, I don’t see Franks — who finished 12-for-27 — being a star in the SEC anytime soon.

The defense, who forced three turnovers including the game-clinching pick six- bailed out a struggling Franks. He should be very thankful for his defensive unit, that is for sure. While they will be celebrating this win for at least tonight, they shouldn’t dwell on it too long. Congratulations Gators, this is a big one. Now start preparing for the upcoming fight against the Georgia Bulldogs.
