Texas A&M Football: 5 takeaways from defensive showdown vs. Kentucky
By Shelbie Warr
1. Don’t let this game fool you, the Wildcats are a good team
The Kentucky Wildcats and the Texas A&M Aggies provided quite a bit of entertainment on Saturday night as they sent this one to overtime in a defensive showdown for the ages. Even though the Aggies came out on top due to a strong defensive showing and a little bit of luck, no one should take anything away from the now 5-1 Wildcats.
This team has shown that they can respond well to adversity and they will likely do just that with this loss to Texas A&M. They have a bye week in Week 7 before they head into a matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 8. Honestly, other than a big time matchup with Georgia in a few weeks, I don’t see another loss in the Wildcats schedule.
My point here? Don’t let this one loss distract you from how good the Wildcats are and can still be during the season. They still have every ability to finish this season 10-2 and for a team from a school that is known for basketball more than anything, that is a huge accomplishment.
Keep your head up Kentucky, this is still going to be a great season for you.
