UCF football took care of business Saturday night in Orlando against SMU. The Knights are still undefeated, and they still look as good as advertised.

UCF fans got was they bargained for when they came to Spectrum Stadium to watch the UCF Knights take on the SMU Mustangs. UCF took care of business and this game was over long before the final whistle defeating SMU 48-20.

The win moves UCF to 5-0 on the season and one of the dwindling undefeated teams in the country. UCF joins South Florida and Cincinnati as the only undefeated teams in the AAC and all are three teams are in the Western Division. This dynamic will definitely make things interesting when they meet each other on the field soon.

SMU, on the other hand, falls to 2-4 and will struggle to find many more wins on their schedule. Sonny Dykes is trying to instill his version of Air Raid and it’s not going as easy as some might have imagined.

This game wasn’t much of a contest as UCF jumped out to a 21-7 lead in first quarter and at that point the game was effectively over. SMU will get next week off before traveling to New Orleans to take on Tulane in week 8. UCF will hit the road to take on the Memphis Tigers next week.

Here are the three biggest takeaways from UCF’s Week 6 win over SMU.
