Nebraska football suffered another painful defeat, falling to Wisconsin in Week 6. It’s time to ask whether or not the Huskers will go 0-12?

The Cornhuskers are having a season that they’d much rather forget, that is for sure. When they hired Scott Frost, everyone was excited and ready for Nebraska to return to national prominence. Well, they are surely getting the media attention, but it isn’t for anything good. After losing to Wisconsin 41-24, the Cornhuskers are sitting at 0-5 on the year. That isn’t good.

On the other side, Wisconsin sits at 4-1 as they look to establish themselves as contenders in the Big Ten despite a disappointing loss to BYU early in the season. However, they have Michigan and Penn State left on the schedule and if you think either of those teams is going to roll over like Nebraska seems to have done for the Badgers- you are sadly mistaken.

Nebraska still has to face off against Ohio State and Michigan State. To answer the earlier question on if the Cornhuskers could go 0-12, absolutely. Scott Frost has not been able to take this team and bring them any type of success at this point. That isn’t to say that he won’t be able to be the coach this program needs in the future, but for right now it isn’t good for Frost and the Cornhuskers.

Is Wisconsin any good this season? Was that loss to BYU a fluke or was it telling on how this team reacts under pressure? Only time will tell. What we do know after this win over Nebraska is that the Cornhuskers are very, very bad and Wisconsin was able to benefit from that level of struggle. The Badgers and Huskers are heading in two very different directions.
