When Baylor needed an answer, it was Charlie Brewer that stepped up.

The same happened last year down in Waco, as Brewer came on in a terrible situation and was one of the few bright spots. His strong play has carried over into this year, including in a recent 37-34 win over Kansas State that pushed the Bears to 4-2 — a year after winning just one game.

Brewer completed 30-of-44 for 296 yards and a touchdown, adding another score on the ground. He has thrown for 1,558 yards and nine scores this year, with just two of his 206 passes being picked off.

Despite falling to Oklahoma State two weeks ago, Brewer made it known that he is the starting quarterback at Baylor over Jalan McClendon, completing 38-of-60 for 400 yards and two scores.

Brewer has over 3,100 yards and 20 touchdowns in his career so far, throwing just six picks.
