Week 7 of the 2018 college football season feels like the aftermath of Week 6. Here are five reasons to be excited for Week 7.

Most programs have made it to the halfway point of the 2018 college football season. With conference play in full swing the College Football Playoff has started to shake out. A few of the traditional powers lost games over the weekend that either hurt their College Football Playoff chances and even knocked a handful out of the top 25. Looking at the Week 7 slate it feels like staring at the aftermath of all that happened in Week 6.

Week 7 starts on Tuesday, Oct. 9, with a Sun Belt showdown between Appalachian State and Arkansas State. FBS games will also be played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week. On Thursday Texas Tech travels to TCU for a 7:30 kickoff on ESPN. One of the more intriguing Friday matchups will be Air Force at San Diego State as the Falcons looked much improved with a new quarterback under center.

On Saturday there are three big time ranked matchups that includes Wisconsin and Michigan on primetime ABC, Washington and Oregon on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET, and Georgia at LSU at 3:30 probably on CBS. Other intriguing matchups are UCF at Memphis — can the Tigers break the streak? There’s upset alerts for Baylor at Texas, Michigan State at Penn State, West Virginia at Iowa State and Miami at UVA.

Alabama will probably annihilate the Missouri Tigers but hey, here’s hoping for an upset. Here are the five reasons to be excited about Week 7.
