The college football recruiting landscape continues to evolve and change. Now there’s a new No. 1 team and several top recruits announced their schools.

A new team has taken the No. 1 spot in the 2019 recruiting class, or rather, retaken the No. 1 spot. Texas A&M had previously climbed to the top of the recruiting mountain, only to be surpassed by Georgia. The Aggies had built a strong class with more than two dozens commitments whereas Georgia was more selective, locking down a host of 5-star players.

One of those 5-stars, wide receiver Jadon Haselwood announced his decommitment from Georgia, dropping the Bulldogs class in the ranks and making way for the Aggies, the nation’s current No. 1 class.

The final ranking of the Aggies’ class is somewhat inconsequential. The talent which Jimbo Fisher has already assembled is proof that the maroon and white are going to be major players in the national recruiting landscape for years to come.

But that’s not the only major recruiting story of the week. Several blue-chip players have made their decisions and Haselwood is will name his new destination soon enough. Where will the Georgia native choose? That’s the first of many recruiting news items following Week 6.
