We are at the halfway point in the season and man did Week 6 shake up the power rankings. Let’s get to SEC football power rankings, y’all.

Week 6 gave me the biggest headache as I sat at my desk and tried to make sense of what happened on Saturday night. The SEC, after a week to remember, has eight teams in the AP Top 25. That is insanity and made power ranking these teams quite difficult as they all continue to beat up on each other.

Without further ado though, let’s start at the bottom and work our way to the football playing robots that call themselves the Alabama Crimson Tide.

As the only SEC team with a bye in Week 6, the Volunteers stay put at the bottom of the barrel. They didn’t have a semi-strong showing against Alabama to move them up a spot or two, so here sit the Vols looking to get something going in the SEC East this season.

In Week 7, they face off against the Auburn Tigers at home. Of course, home field advantage hasn’t exactly been a factor for Jeremy Pruitt’s team and I don’t expect to be a factor this week either. Sorry Tennessee, but it’s all even further downhill from here.

The Arkansas Razorbacks stay put at No. 13, not falling a spot due to somehow putting up 31 on Alabama. They still lost to Colorado State and North Texas though and, barring a big upset, that will keep this team within the bottom four in the conference and no Razorback fans, beating Ole Miss yet again won’t count as an upset.

Sorry Arkansas, unless you can find some way to knock off LSU or Mississippi State this season is basically over for you. Pack your bags and start counting down to baseball.
