The Seminoles offense didn’t make a lot of big plays but they did put up 27 points. So there should be a light at the end of the tunnel for this team right? It looks like Willie Taggart will stay off the hot seat this season but losing to your rival is always a tough pill to swallow. The Seminoles get the week off and then face the Demon Deacons at home in Week 8 and should get over .500.

Without AJ Dillon in the lineup, the Eagles offense looked pretty pedestrian. Ben Glines filled in admirably rushing 16 times for 90 yards and one touchdown but he doesn’t have the game-breaking ability that Dillon possesses. The defense will also need to improve after giving up over 300 yards and two touchdowns to Ryan Finley in the loss to NC State.

Although the defense started off strong and made a few plays, The Hokies ultimately could not counter the second half adjustments by the Fighting Irish coaching staff and lost a tough game 45 to 23. The Hokies play North Carolina this week and should turn things around against the Tar Heels.
