We are at the halfway point in the college football season and here I am trying to figure out how we got here so fast. What craziness will Week 7 bring us?

Week 6 was full of upsets, shaking up the rankings on a huge scale. Oklahoma, Kentucky and LSU fell as they are no longer undefeated. Texas and Florida shot up the rankings and the Texas A&M Aggies and Mississippi State Bulldogs reentered the rankings after beating Kentucky and Auburn, respectively.

However, I am sure you guys know all about what happened in Week 6, so let’s talk Week 7 and some bold predictions, shall we?

5. Alabama continues to reign supreme, until they’re crowned once again

The Crimson Tide are so good it truly is almost disgusting. The rest SEC is playing catchup with them and the sad part is, it truly isn’t even a competition. The Georgia Bulldogs are the closest to the Tide, but even then I am not sure that they can really stand toe to toe with the Tide.

Let’s put into perspective how good the Tide really is, at least on offense. Tua Tagovailoa has gone 18-of-20 passing for 462 yards and six touchdowns in the first half of the past two games combined, and between the two of them only attempted one second-half pass. The Tide’s 39.7-point first half average would rank 26th nationally and fourth in the SEC in points per game. Tagovailoa and company are also averaging 375.7 yards in the first half of games.

Those are some eye opening stats. An even more eye opening one? Alabama’s freshman punter could still redshirt through six games because he has only had to see action in four of them so far. Basically, Alabama is the No. 1 team in the nation and they will stay that way until they are crowned National Champions once again.
