We are over halfway through the 2018 college football regular season, a realization that is extremely depressing, unless you are a fan of Nebraska or UCLA, in which case you are waiting for the season to end or for the sun to swell up and explode, engulfing the earth in flames. Whichever comes first.

For the rest of us, the college football season is flying by far too quickly as it always does. It’s hard to believe that we are already coming into the second weekend of October.

With that, however, brings some intriguing conference matchups. Last week’s slate was a bit underwhelming, but this one promises to be much improved, headlined by three Top-25 matchups with major implications in conference championship races as well as the college football playoff race.
