Another Loss for Auburn?

As accurately predicted by yours truly, Auburn was upset by the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 6. The Tigers lost 23-9 in another example the Auburn offense struggling significantly. Jarrett Stidham was only able to complete 50 percent of his passes against a mediocre SEC secondary. Sure, Stidham had Mississippi State defensive end, Montez Sweat breathing down his neck the entire game. Sweat had three sacks, a forced fumble, and two quarterback hurries.

This week, the Tigers host a struggling Tennessee Volunteers team. This game could go one of two ways. Auburn could absolutely blowout the Volunteers where the defense doesn’t allow any points and, running back, JaTarvious Whitlow averages 11 yards per carry like he did last week. Or, the Tigers could allow Tennessee quarterback, Jarrett Guarantano, to run all over the field and the offense could gain only 2.6 yards per carry as they did the two games prior to facing Mississippi State.

Things aren’t looking good for Gus Malzahn and the Auburn Tigers. If it weren’t for Malzahn’s outrageous buyout, his job would be in danger, and all of college football would be shaken up.
