Saturday 7:00-10:00

West Virginia at Iowa State, 7:00 p.m. EST, FS1

Pretty much the only Big 12 battle of value all day long, this is the first real test for West Virginia on the year. Iowa State isn’t great, coming in at 2-3, but they did just beat Oklahoma State, which pretty much proved that they’re still the scrappy underdogs that they were last year. If West Virginia survives, it may be time to finally take them seriously.

One sentence sell: West Virginia is, at the point, the Big 12’s best team, and they’re playing a team that loves to upset good teams.

Wisconsin at Michigan, 7:30 p.m. EST, ABC

This is the College Gameday game of the week, and while I’m not super sure it’ll be entertaining, it’s a night game in the Big House between two top 20 teams. Michigan seems to be figuring out how to use Shea Patterson, Wisconsin seems to have bounced back after losing to BYU, and both defenses have the chance to display what all the hype is about.

One sentence sell: Winner gets to remain in the playoff race, loser is all but eliminated, and elimination games are AWESOME.
