LSU Football: Can Tigers pull off shocking upset of Georgia in Week 7?
By Shelbie Warr
After falling to Florida last week, LSU football is trying desperately to bounce back. Will hosting Georgia in Death Valley be enough to make that happen?
This is likely the best cross divisional matchup we will see this season until the SEC Championship and what a matchup it is shaping up to be. The Georgia Bulldogs are undefeated and looking for a return to the National Championship game as they simply want another crack at Alabama.
However, they have looked half asleep in some of their recent games and that won’t fly in Death Valley.
Speaking of Death Valley, LSU is looking to rebound from the loss to Florida and make a big time statement by beating the Georgia Bulldogs. Against Florida, Joe Burrow looked like a middle-of-the-road quarterback. Will he play better at home against a stout Georgia defense? Will his defense be able to stand up a strong Georgia rushing attack?
Here is how you can watch the matchup and answer those questions for yourself:

Keys to Victory
For LSU, the big key to victory lies with quarterback Joe Burrow. He will need to play at an extremely high level to compete with the likes of Jake Fromm and Justin Fields. He will also have to be able to make those contested throws and work hard to find holes that may not exist as often as they did against other opponents so far this season.
For Georgia, it is about playing their game from start to finish. You can’t write off the LSU Tigers like you did Vanderbilt a year ago. That isn’t going to cut it in Death Valley. Look for the Bulldogs to pull out all the stops and for each guy to finally put 100 percent effort into a game.
Prediction
LSU puts up a fight, that much should be obvious. The Bayou Bengals have never been one to roll over and give up when the going gets tough. However, it won’t be enough to take down the No. 2 team in the nation, especially once Georgia really unleashes their daunting running attack. LSU couldn’t shut down Feleipe Franks and Florida. The Bulldogs are on a completely different level.
Final Score: Georgia 35, LSU 27
