2. Against a competent defense, Drew Lock is not that great.

Senior Drew Lock has been hailed as one of the better quarterbacks in the SEC. However, I am not buying it, not at all. He puts up big numbers against teams like Wyoming and UT Martin that mask his struggles against the bigger teams of the conference.

He is lucky enough to play in the SEC East where he doesn’t have to fight against the likes of Alabama, Auburn, LSU and sometimes Texas A&M and Mississippi State year in and year out. Lock would probably be able to get something done against Ole Miss and Arkansas, no promises though.

Simply put, if this kid goes high in the NFL Draft I would be shocked. He is not ready for the likes of NFL defenses. Even against teams who don’t have the strongest defenses, Lock isn’t ready. It isn’t a lack of weapons because he has quite a few of those down in Columbia, Missouri.

Drew Lock has quite a bit of growing to do before he’s ready for the NFL. Of course, many said that about Dak Prescott so I could be wrong.
