College GameDay is back in Big Ten country for a cross-divisional game between Michigan football and Wisconsin football. Who did Lee Corso pick?

A Week removed from a wild weekend in Texas, College GameDay is headed north. The popular ESPN Saturday show was on the scene to see Texas and Oklahoma square off at the State Fair. The drama did not disappoint, even if Lee Corso’s headgear pick proved to be incorrect. He’ll have a chance to redeem himself in Week 7 when Wisconsin pays a visit to Michigan.

Wisconsin enters this game 4-1. Outside of their head-scratching upset at the hands of BYU, the Badgers have rolled past the rest of their opponents. Michigan is their toughest challenge yet, and they’ll have to play their best game to win.

Michigan, too, enters this game with just one loss. Their lone blemish came in Week 1 to No. 12 Notre Dame with College GameDay on hand. Will the Wolverines fair better this time? Jim Harbaugh needs to show signs of progress, making a win over Wisconsin all the more important.

The magnitude of this game beckoned to College GameDay’s, who answered with their second trip to see Michigan play this season.  Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard put up with Lee Corso’s usual antics before it came time for him to make his selection. Corso took his time, then made the pick with some help:

Michigan and Wisconsin serve as the grand finale for what could be the best weekend of college football yet this season. There are several big games in the build-up to their 7:30 p.m. ET kick. No. 7 Washington travels to No. 14 Oregon, Michigan State and No. 8 Penn State square off in Happy Valley and No. 2 Georgia plays No. 13 LSU in an SEC slugfest.
