Ian Book looked shaky most of the game

Both offenses struggled in the first half, but Ian Book didn’t look like the dynamic player that saved Notre Dame’s season a few weeks ago. Book was very accurate in the first half, going 13 for 18, but did throw an interception and only 106 yards.

It seemed like the Notre Dame offensive line couldn’t keep up with the blitzes dialed up by Pat Narduzzi’s defensive staff, and Book was under pressure for most of the first half.

Book and the Irish were able to make the comeback with some clutch throws late, and the offensive line gave him enough time to get the ball down the field.

He finished the game 26 for 32 for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

The Fighting Irish were lucky to pick up the victory in spite of Book’s mostly poor game, and this could be the season-defining win that could show the nation that Notre Dame can win an ugly battle.
