1. Oklahoma State will have a hard time making a bowl

You would think after a 4-1 start to the season, the Cowboys would have no trouble getting into a bowl game with ease. They had a home game against a struggling Iowa State team and a road game against a 2-4 Kansas State squad approaching which looked to be the two “gimmes” left on the schedule. Not the case.

After losing to Iowa State last week in a thriller, Oklahoma State stumbled into Manhattan on Saturday afternoon and struggled with the Wildcats.

Sure, Billy Snyder has been known to pull the occasional rabbit out of the hat, but no one really expected the Wildcats to show much life against Oklahoma State after their sluggish start to the season. Things have changed quickly for this team, though, as they may be headed in the right direction.

Oklahoma State, on the other hand, is not.

The Cowboys have a rough stretch of games ahead and if they look as poor as they did on Saturday against the Wildcats, there’s a good chance they’ll fail to win two more games, missing a bowl.

Do you see two wins left on the schedule? At home against Texas, at Baylor, at Oklahoma, West Virginia and at TCU to round out the year? Two wins may be a stretch.
