3. USC will go as far as JT Daniels can take them

You’ve heard the pundits on T.V. say it a thousand times, but it really does bare repeating – JT Daniels should still be a high school senior this season, and instead he is starting for one of college football’s most prestigious programs. Daniels was the No. 2 passer in last season’s recruiting cycle, and came to Los Angeles with a wealth of expectations, primed to be the next in line of great quarterbacks to come out of USC.

Daniels has been shaky thus far, which is no surprise given that he is a true freshman, but he has grown every week and has played his best football over the Trojans’ current three-game winning streak. After throwing just one touchdown pass through the first three games of the season, Daniels has six touchdown passes over these last three weeks.

Daniels overcame a shaky start to this game after throwing an interception on the game’s first snap. After that he settled in threw three touchdown passes to lead USC to a 28 straight points after falling down 7-0 early in the second quarter.
