Week 7 of the college football season proved to be a wild one. What are the takeaways from Saturday’s docket of games?

Chaos erupted all over the country on Saturday. Pandemonium has officially set in and the 2018 college football season has seemingly reached a pivotal juncture in time. From this point on, the season will only intensify even further.

Week 7 had the makeup of yet another season-altering showing. It may have provided some teams with a signature win while others were left with many questions and out of the picture.

The most eye-catching number that stood out was the fact that four top-10 teams were dispatched on Saturday –– No. 2 Georgia, No. 6 West Virginia, No. 7 Washington and No. 8 Penn State. This was certainly a crushing blow to these teams and the fallout could impact nearly every Power 5 conference.

The aftermath of Saturday’s action certainly proved to shake things up –– including the teams in contention for the College Football Playoff. Here are five takeaways from the exciting weekend of games.
