Big Ten football has provided us with some great games, and surprising outcomes in the first half of the season. Can the second half provide an encore?

The first seven weeks of the 2018 college football season have been nothing short of spectacular. From upsets, big wins, surprise teams and disappointments, we’ve seen it all. And there’s no other conference showing a better example of this season than the Big Ten. It’s obvious who the best team in the conference is, but the rest of the Big Ten has proven to be wide open for the most part.

We’ve seen Trace McSorley total almost 500 yards and his team still lose, and we’ve seen Nebraska, a historic program, winless in the first half of the season. We watched Michigan State lose to Arizona State but win over Penn State, and watched Michigan’s offense become obsolete against Notre Dame but score 38 on Wisconsin. Rutgers lost to Kansas while Maryland upset Texas.

I’m not kidding when I say the Big Ten has seen it all. But in the first half of the 2018 season, which player reigned supreme as our MVP? Who were the stars on the offensive and defensive side of the ball? Which coach shines and who is the biggest surprise thus far? And what does the second half of the season have in store for the Big Ten?

Well, all those questions are answered right here, and right now. Check out our Big Ten midseason awards:
