College football recruiting is a never-ending cycle that continued to roll through Week 7. Which top recruits committed and what is going on across the nation?

Occasionally a school outside of the Power 5 lands a bluechip recruit, but the vast majority of the top-end players end up playing for the same national brands that most college football fans have grown to love (or hate). A few of the less famous schools added elite recruits to the mix in the lead up to Week 7, but a pair of bluebloods got even richer.

Notre Dame and Georgia, each of whom already had a top 15 recruiting class coming into the week landed a top 200 player in the country. Georgia’s addition, Lewis Cine, was a top 10 safety in the state of Texas who ultimately could not resist the lure of Kirby Smart and the SEC.

The Irish also went out of state to earn the commitment of Califonia-native Isaiah Rutherford. He picked Notre Dame over offers from instate schools like Cal and USC, but the Irish also had to fight off Alabama and Nick Saban to secure his verbal commitment.

They weren’t the only schools to add (or loses) key players as the recruiting calendar continues to focus on 2019. We get started with Texas A&M and a player who won’t suit up for the maroon and white next season.
