ACC Football Power Rankings 2018: Is there a clear No. 2 after Week 7?
The Yellow Jackets held their own against Duke in the first half as the game was tied up 7-7. The end of the third is where they completely fell apart, as Duke scored three touchdowns due to three fumbles In less than two minutes. Georgia Tech faces Virginia Tech on Thursday night football after their bye this week. Could they pull off the upset? It’s probable but unlikely they get back to .500 ball.
Pittsburgh’s defense played well for most of the game against Notre Dame. They shut down the running game, but couldn’t slow down quarterback Ian Book when they needed to the most, as the Fighting Irish stormed back for a win. The offense will have to work out the kinks during the bye week as they face a surging Duke squad.
The Seminoles had a bye this week and they needed it with how poor their offense has played most of the season. No one expected FSU to be 6-0 but a 3-3 start is not how Willie Taggart wanted to get this era started. Wake Forest comes to town and it will be a good test to see how talented Florida State really is.
