North Texas Mean Green. 10. team. 2388. . (6-1/C-USA). Previous:

The Mean Green jumped back up into the Group of Five Power Rankings this week thanks to a clear-cut 30-7 victory over Southern Miss in Week 7. North Texas got back to their winning ways after falling against Louisiana Tech, and they remain one of the favorites to emerge as the Conference USA champion this season.

Though Seth Littrell‘s squad gave up 317 yards through the air, they held the Golden Eagles to just 50 rushing yards. In the process, six Southern Miss drives died on the North Texas side of the field. That included a fumble inside the Mean Green 10 in the third quarter that killed a great scoring opportunity.

This week, North Texas heads to UAB in a clash of teams at the top of the C-USA West standings. If the Mean Green take down the Blazers, they will consolidate their hold on a top-10 spot in the power rankings. Lose and it opens the door for UAB to jump up the list.
