Last Saturday, the Big Ten football was eventful, to say the least. Michigan rises as Wisconsin and Penn State fall in Week 7 power rankings.
Week 7 of the college football season brought clarity to the Big Ten. The Michigan Wolverines had a huge win over the Wisconsin Badgers, while the Penn State Nittany Lions dropped their second straight game against the Michigan State Spartans.
Also, the Nebraska Cornhuskers continued their surprisingly awful season, falling in overtime to the Northwestern Wildcats, all while the Ohio State Buckeyes shook off a slow start against the Minnesota Golden Gophers and remained the only unbeaten team in the Big Ten.
Heading into this Saturday, not much looks to be changed when next week’s power rankings come out. The Big Ten game of the week is between in-stat rivals, Michigan and Michigan State, in a battle for second in the Big Ten East.
However, one other game to watch is the Iowa Hawkeyes taking on the Maryland Terrapins. The Hawkeyes are primed for a run at the Big Ten West, while the Terrapins enter the game with only one loss.
But before all of that is settled, take a look at our updated Big Ten power rankings.
