The last two weekends have seen some major upsets, shaking the landscape of college football. Will we see more upsets in Week 8?
Just when we thought we had a feel for how the season would play out, Week 7 happened. Four top 10 teams went down along with a couple others having close calls. The conference and playoff chases have been altered as we get closer to the first release of playoff rankings later this month.
For our upset picks a week ago, we correctly picked two of the five games. We predicted Georgia would have trouble against LSU, but did not foresee the Tigers dominating in the fashion that they did. LSU shut out Georgia in the first half and never looked back. In the other correct pick, Oregon outlasted Washington in overtime.
The 2007 season saw a multitude of upsets, including 13 top five teams falling to unranked opponents throughout the season. The season was dubbed “The Year of the Upset” and while we are not close to that zaniness yet, there is still plenty of season left to go. Bring on the chaos and this week’s five upset picks. The odds are provided by Oddsshark as always.
