College Football Playoff: Shake-up in Week 8 New Year’s Six Projections
Capital One Orange Bowl – Alabama Crimson Tide vs Clemson Tigers
Alabama vs Clemson: Part IV.
The Alabama Crimson Tide had an off week this past Saturday, winning by just 29 points over the Missouri Tigers. But in all seriousness, the Tide dominated another opponent like they have been all season long. Their only cause for concern is that quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, left the game with a knee injury that has caused him problems earlier in the season as well.
Luckily for the Tide, they have Jalen Hurts as their back-up, who can make this offense run almost as good as Tagovailoa. Basically, Alabama is still the best team in the country, regardless of who is under center.
The Clemson Tigers have their toughest test of the season in Week 8 as the take on the NC State Wolfpack. The Tigers are coming off a bye week, and it couldn’t be at a better time. The Wolfpack are undefeated and have one of the best quarterback-wide receiver combinations in the nation. Having an extra week to prepare for your biggest game is always nice, especially if this loss could ruin almost every possibility of making the College Football Playoff. Can the Tigers survive? Or will a new team replace them next week?
