So far this season, the SEC seemed to be pretty predictable. However, Week 7 took that theory and threw it in the garbage. Which teams moved around as we saw LSU upset Georgia and Tennessee upset Auburn?
Here’s how the SEC Power Rankings stack up following Week 7:
Sorry Razorback fans, but you are stuck at the bottom with no end in sight. Arkansas moves down one spot after losing to Ole Miss and the Tennessee upset of Kentucky. Maybe Chad Morris will eventually prove himself as the right coach for Arkansas, but this year is not that year. Even bowl eligibility seems like a reach at this point.
This week, the Razorbacks host Tulsa in a game that they desperately need to win. They have already lost to North Texas and Colorado State, a third non-Power 5 loss would just be shameful for this conference.
I never thought I would have a team fall two spots after winning, but the Rebels have done just that. They beat the Razorbacks for the first time in four years on Saturday night, but that doesn’t mean much for them in the grand scheme of things, especially with how bad Arkansas has been this season.
To make matters worse, the Rebels are now dealing with the loss of star receiver DK Metcalf who hurt his neck in the matchup on Saturday night. They host Auburn this week, a game that the Tigers will not lose I can promise you that.
