Week 7 of college football was upset central and the excitement level was through the roof. Let’s talk bold predictions for Week 8.
Last week we saw quite a few big names fall and a shocker or two from the start of the day to the end. I can tell you right now that very few people predicted an Auburn loss to Kentucky or a Penn State loss to Michigan State, but here we are.
What does Week 8 bring us? Let’s get bold, ladies and gentlemen.
5. Alabama will shatter the dreams of Tennessee
There may be no team riding higher this week than the Tennessee Volunteers. No one remind them that they are still 3-3 and no where near competing for the top of their division, much less the conference because by God they beat Auburn.
However, beating Auburn won’t save the Volunteers from the wrath of the Alabama Crimson Tide. CBS can call this one the “Game of the Week” all they want. They can push and push for this one to get all the media attention this week, but it won’t be a fun time for those in Orange and White.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Jarrett Guarantano seemed to finally turned the corner against Auburn and show the world what he really can do. It was even more impressive to do it on the road against the defending SEC West champions, no matter how much the Tigers have struggled this season.
Sadly for Tennessee, this will once again be the Tua Tagovailoa show as he carves up yet another opposing defense for over 400 yards of offense. Simply put, it is Alabama’s world and we are just living in it.
