Running Backs

Jalin Moore – Appalachian State

Devastating news for the Mountaineers came when star senior running Jalin Moore was announced to be out for the season with an ankle injury. Moore entered the 2018 after back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and finishes his senior season with 400 yards and six touchdowns. It’s a killer blow for the Mountaineers, who are battling Georgia Southern and Troy for control in the Sun Belt.

AJ Dillon – Boston College

Dillon has missed the last two games with an ankle injury and Boston College has not released an update about his status for next Thursday against Miami (FL). Boston College is 5-2 and 2-1 in the ACC but has struggled in the running game without its best player. The Eagles averaged just 2.2 yards per carry against Louisville in Boston College’s 38-20 win.

Travon McMillan – Colorado

McMillan was slightly injured in Colorado’s loss to USC but according to the CBS Denver, coach Mike MacIntyre said, “Travon is doing well. He had a little bit of a thigh bruise but he was running around today doing fine. Jay is in the concussion protocol. We’ll go from there.”

Myles Gaskin – Washington

Gaskin, the Huskies star running back is expected to play on Saturday in a match-up with Colorado. Gaskin’s back-up, Salvon Ahmed is also expected to play after hyperextending his knee against Oregon. Gaskin leads the Huskies in rushing yards (623 yards) and rushing touchdowns (six). He’s also added 11 catches for 48 yards this season.

Shannon Brooks – Minnesota

There is good news and bad news surrounding Brooks. The good news is that he is medically cleared after an off-season knee injury. The bad news is that he was arrested over the weekend for a misdemeanor assault. We’ll have to wait and see how head coach P.J. Fleck decides to handle this situation.
