Colorado State had a tough time slowing down Boise State football on Friday night as the Broncos improved to 5-2. What’d we learn?

For the third time since 2014, Boise State began the season with a 3-2 record and the previous two times ended with a Mountain West title. Could this season experience the same success?

If Friday night’s performance was any indication, Boise State is on its way to a perfect ending to the season. Colorado State traveled to Boise for a big Mountain West showdown, but the Broncos dominated from start to finish, improving to 5-2 on the year.

When I say dominated, that doesn’t do it justice. The Broncos had the lead essentially from the opening whistle to the final seconds, securing a crucial conference win.

No, Colorado State isn’t going to contend for the conference title this season, but the Rams weren’t expecting to be rolled in the fashion they were on Friday.

What’d we learn from the Broncos’ convincing win?

3. Turnover Throne is awesome

Boise State got to whip out the Turnover Throne on Friday night in front of a national audience and all those watching had to love it.

The Broncos, like the Miami Hurricanes, have a prop used when a member of the defense forces a turnover. This one isn’t quite as popular as the Hurricanes’ Turnover Chain, but it deserves more national recognition.

I mean, just look at this thing:

The Broncos forced a couple of turnovers and those responsible for the takeaways were given the throne to sit in and be “fanned” like royalty.

America, please give this throne more attention. The Broncos used it to put on a show.
