1. Boise State is looking more like the Mountain West favorite

Colorado State isn’t the kind of team that’s going to wow anyone, but the Rams do have one of the most prolific passers in college football. Washington transfer KJ Carta-Samuels who finished with just under 240 yards and was picked off twice by the Broncos.

Boise State made the talented quarterback look pedestrian and held the Rams’ offense in check. The Rams aren’t going to contend for any titles, but a 56-28 win over this team is impressive and it looked effortless on the Broncos’ part.

After yet another 3-2 start to the season, Boise State is looking like the favorite to win the Mountain West yet again.

Brett Rypien is firing on all cylinders, the defense is playing well and forcing turnovers and Alexander Mattison has the potential to break out at any given moment. The Broncos are the team to beat in the Mountain West right now and Friday night’s win proved that.

Forget those losses to Oklahoma State and conference foe San Diego State, the Broncos look like a different team right now and may even get a chance to exact revenge against the Aztecs.
