2. Travis Etienne puts together another Heisman performance

It’s been the season of Travis Etienne in Clemson, S.C. The sophomore running back got off to a relatively slow start, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries through the first two games. Those aren’t poor stats, but for a Heisman-caliber back, it was quiet.

Since then, he’s been on fire and has jumped back into the Heisman conversation.

In fact, Etienne has four straight 100-yard games under his belt and that includes three games with at least 160 rushing yards. He has even broken 200 yards once and the Tigers’ offense has benefited greatly from his breakout.

Etienne will have another Heisman-like performance on Saturday against the Wolfpack, rushing for about 130 yards and three touchdowns, adding to Lawrence’s big performance through the air.

After this one, we’ll hear more talk of Etienne for Heisman, and deservedly so.
