Oklahoma football got back on track Saturday, defeating the TCU Horned Frogs 52-27 at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Sooners still look elite.

Kyler Murray and the Oklahoma Sooners jumped back into the win column Saturday, and pushed Lincoln Riley’s team to a 6-1 record (3-1 in Big 12 play). Another threat in the backfield emerged during their take-down of the Horned Frogs, complementing Murray in a way that should scare all upcoming Oklahoma opponents.

The Sooner defense looked improved as well, holding TCU to only 27 points, albeit against a backup quarterback with a bum throwing hand late in the game. Kenneth Murray continues his excellent play, but others chipped in and made plays.

TCU’s biggest offensive threat continues to be wide receiver and special teams-standout KaVontae Turpin, who scored twice against the Sooners. Gary Patterson’s defense got a handful of stops against Oklahoma, but the Sooners seemed to score anytime the momentum started swinging toward the Horned Frogs.
