3. UCF is worthy of its top-10 status

UCF may not play the toughest schedule due to it being in the American Conference — a Group of 5 conference — but stemming from last season, the Knights have shown that it deserves to be in the AP Top 10.

Granted, this rests on the fact that the Knights are still undefeated and have reached the 20 straight win mark, which on its own should be concrete proof that UCF can play.

Outside of last week’s win against Memphis, UCF has been dominant against every other team it has played this season.

This includes a 35-point walloping the Knights handed Pittsburgh — the same Panthers squad that nearly walked out of South Bend with an upset win against Notre Dame earlier this season.

As of yet, there is no true reason to believe UCF shouldn’t be in the Top 10. For more than a season and a half, the Knights have been a model of consistency and their game on Saturday was no exception.

As long as UCF keeps winning, it is safe to say it will be a mainstay in the top 10 of the AP Poll.
