Arkansas Football: Did the Razorbacks do enough to impress Kelly Bryant?
A team in the SEC West that could enter the 2019 season trending up with a nice combination of factors is Arkansas football.
The last non-conference game of the year came at a good time for a struggling Arkansas football program this season under new head coach Chad Morris. Injuries plagued the Razorbacks through the middle of the 2018 campaign to add fuel to the flame after some dumbfounding losses to the North Texas Mean Green and Colorado State Rams.
Among all the storylines to focus on for Arkansas football on Oct. 20, the prospective visit of former Clemson Tigers quarterback Kelly Bryant to campus was the biggest by far. The connection that Morris and Bryant had a few years ago at Clemson led to the immediate interest for Arkansas as a potential landing spot.
Bryant announced that he would transfer from Clemson due to the pressure put on his starting position, or lack thereof, from true freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Although, Bryant would come into Fayetteville, Ark., with quite the resume to lead to a big 2019 campaign in the second year under Morris.
The beginning of that connection came about with a visit from Bryant to the university and the Arkansas football program earlier this week. On Oct. 20, Bryant was then spotted in the Arkansas crowd, confirming the suspicion by most pundits that this could be his ultimate landing spot after his time with Clemson.

Arkansas was searching for its second win of the season, and the first over either an FBS or Group of Five opponent this fall. The only previous win came over an FCS opponent in the season opener.
Here’s a look at how the Oct. 20 matchup against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane transpired for the Arkansas Razorbacks and if they did enough to impress Kelly Bryant.
