Oklahoma football moved to 6-1 on Saturday behind a 52-point performance against TCU. What five players stood out and received Blitz Stickers?

Lincoln Riley’s Oklahoma football program beat the hosting Horned Frogs handily Saturday, scoring 28- and 24- points in each half, respectively. Quarterback Kyler Murray conducted seven touchdowns drives on the day, and the Sooners’ performance pushed them to 3-1 in Big 12 play.

After relieving Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops of his post following the Texas loss, the Sooners defense played well against TCU. They recorded five pass breakups in coverage and sacked the quarterback twice.

The Sooners still have a long road ahead, with games against Kansas State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, and West Virginia. That face doesn’t mean we can’t hand out accolades for what just happened. These five players earned Blitz Stickers in Week 8 for their stellar performances.

5. Kennedy Brooks, Running Back

The Oklahoma Sooners have yet another stud running back, as redshirt freshman Kennedy Brooks emerged against TCU as a force to be reckoned with. He rumbled for a career- and game-high 168 yards on 18 carries and added a touchdown.

After little-to-no use when Rodney Anderson was healthy, Brooks tallied more rushes against the Horned Frogs (18) than he’s had in his young career thus far (15). His best game prior to Saturday was against Baylor when he eclipsed the 100-yard mark and scored two touchdowns.

This threat in the backfield can only benefit the Sooners’ offense moving forward. If opponents thought stopping this Oklahoma offense was difficult before, they’ll now have to account for the redshirt freshman Brooks.
