Running Back: B

Miles Sanders had a decent day on the ground against Indiana. It was the coaching staff that decided to not run him as much as they should have.

Sanders was gashing the Hoosiers early in the game, including his lone touchdown of the day coming on the Nittany Lions’ first possession. He would finish the day with 72 yards on 15 carries and the score. Sanders was featured in the passing game and led the Lions in receptions with six catches for 54 yards. Entering the game, he only had nine receptions on the season.

It was surprising to not see freshman Ricky Slade not get any touches. Even the ESPN announcers mentioned it later in the game. Not sure if it is because of his fumbling issues earlier in the year, but the coaches should work him in despite that. He’s only going to get confidence by playing and he has a ton of talent.
