Linebackers: C

Another middle of the road performance for the linebackers. Some good and some bad. Along with the defensive line, they were gashed at times and contributed to Indiana racking up a ton of yards.

Micah Parsons and Cam Brown led the linebackers with eight tackles each. Brown also had a pass breakup. Koa Farmer had seven tackles and Jan Johnson, fresh off of earning a scholarship, chipped in three tackles.

It should be only a matter of time before Parsons is a starting linebacker. He has been chipping away at Farmer’s playing time and seems to really be getting it. He has speed to get to the edge and did not seem to be caught out of position yesterday. Farmer seems like a really good kid, but Parsons has surpassed him and deserves the starting role.

The linebackers are pretty young outside of Farmer being a fifth year senior. As they continue to get a lot of playing time, they should be a position of strength for the Lions in the future.
