You’ll never believe this, but Kansas lost another conference game, because, well, they’re bad at football. David Beaty shouldn’t have a job, and the world at large shouldn’t have to suffer for the sins of Kansas football. Peyton Bender has no business playing quarterback at a P5 school. This defense is dreadful and woefully inconsistent. Steven Sims Jr, Pooka Williams, Joe Dineen, Mike Lee and Corione Harris are just about the only parts of this team that I can even bring myself to watch.

Where does Kansas finish: 10. Obviously. This isn’t getting fixed anytime soon, and Kansas isn’t going to win again this season unless Texas wants to do something really funny. Kansas needs to clean house, again, and build around the fact that they have an awesome running back and some fun young defenders. Hire Willie Fritz.

Oklahoma State stays at nine because they had a bye week, and no one played poorly enough to drop behind them, though TCU thought about it. The Cowboys play Texas this week, and can make a serious statement (they won’t though, because they stink).

Where does Oklahoma State finish: 7. There’s too much talent at Oklahoma State for me to buy into this team being this bad for the last five games. Wins over TCU and Baylor would get them to bowl eligibility, and at 6-6, that should be enough to put them ahead of the Kansas schools, and either Baylor or TCU, depending on how their seasons end.
