2019 NFL Draft: Top 10 quarterbacks, ranked
By Dana Becker
It seems like too many teams are still shuffling the deck when it comes to the quarterback position in the NFL. Which makes the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft so important for those in need of a new leader.
While the current group might not be the deepest or most well-rounded set of quarterbacks NFL general managers and coaches have had to select from in recent years, that doesn’t mean it is lacking high-end signal-callers.
Cleveland has turned the keys of the offense over to 2018 top pick Baker Mayfield, who won a Heisman at Oklahoma after transferring from Texas Tech. The New York Jets opted to name Sam Darnold the starter going into the season, with Buffalo slotting Josh Allen and Arizona doing the same with Josh Rosen at some point already this year.
All four are expected to be “the man” for years to come. Will they be the next Tom Brady or Russell Wilson? Or will they flame out like Johnny Manziel, Ryan Leaf and so many others? Only time will tell.
Here’s a look at the Top-10 draft-eligible quarterbacks currently gracing the college football field right now:
