It’s been an interesting season for Miami, but a win over Boston College football in Week 9 could put the Hurricanes back in the AP Top 25.

The Miami Hurricanes (5-2) could use a pick-me-up after a tough Week 7 loss against Virginia on the road, but things won’t get much easier after a bye as they travel to Boston College. This is a must-win for the Hurricanes if they want to remain in the ACC title chase.

As for Boston College (5-2), they began the season on fire and jumped into the AP Top 25 before Purdue knocked the Eagles out for good. Can they bounce back and beat a tough Miami team in Week 9?

Let’s get bold ahead of this big Week 9 matchup.

3. AJ Dillon torches Hurricane defense for 200 rushing yards

Is there a better running back in the ACC than AJ Dillon? Travis Etienne might have something to say about that, but the Boston College back doesn’t quite get the same amount of love as Etienne, well, because the Eagles aren’t the same caliber of team as the Clemson Tigers.

Still, Dillon has been turning heads ever since he stepped foot on Boston College’s campus. He was a highly sought-after recruit and chose the Eagles over other powers, and it’s paid off.

Boston College isn’t exactly a football powerhouse, but he fits right in with Boston College and had a breakout freshman season in 2017 followed by a nice start to his 2018 campaign, rushing for over 650 yards and six touchdowns through five games — he has missed the last two, though.

Dillon is returning from his injury this week and he’s going to give Miami all it can handle. Shaq Quarterman has given him some bulletin board material, saying he’s not worried about Dillon’s return, but they’ll backfire as the sophomore rusher will finish with over 200 yards for the first time this season.

Miami’s normally-good defense will struggle with the sophomore.
