1. AJ Dillon was best player on the field

Sophomore running back AJ Dillon had an incredible freshman campaign last year for the Golden Eagles. However, injuries forced him to miss a pair of games vs. NC State and Louisville this year.

Dillon, though, returned to his running ways Friday night, recording the fourth 100-yard game of the season and the 11th of his career vs. Miami, which entered ranked second in the nation in total defense. He also went over 200 yards twice last year, including a 39-carry, 272-yard display vs. Louisville.

Last year, Dillon ignited Boston College to the tune of 1,589 yards and 14 touchdowns. He had another quick start to this season, running for 98, 149 and 185 before being held to 59 yards in a loss to Purdue. He carried the rock 32 times for 149 yards with a touchdown, averaging just under five yards per attempt.

Prior to missing two games, Dillon had a 161-yard showing in a win over Temple. With the amount of carries the Connecticut native puts on his legs, keeping him healthy over these final weeks will be key for Boston College’s postseason chances.
