2. Offense is finally looking Chip Kelly-like

Yes, I said it. The UCLA offense is finally starting to look more Chip Kelly-like. You can finally tell that he’s in charge of the program with three straight games of at least 24 points after zero in the first four weeks and also back-to-back 30-plus point outings. Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been playing well and Joshua Kelley has been a godsend in the backfield.

Kelly was known for engineering potent offenses while with Oregon and fans were wondering where that mind had gone through the first four games. The Bruins were looking lethargic offensively and the loss against Cincinnati to start the year really set the tone.

However, something has clicked recently and it may just be the continuity on the offensive side of the ball. It may not seem like a big deal that this team has scored 24-plus in three straight games, but Washington isn’t an easy team to score on, nor is Cal.

This offense has finally found its mojo and as long as Thompson-Robinson and Kelley can stay healthy, or get healthy in the former’s case, the Bruins will be tough to stop once again on Friday night.
