2. The Coastal division is incredibly undecided
Going into the season, the ACC was pretty much all around decided by most college football experts. It was assumed the Clemson was pretty well going to run the table on their side of the conference and Miami was going to do something along those lines and take home the Coastal Division and the two would meet up once again in Charlotte, North Carolina to decide the ACC.
The ACC Atlantic is pretty well going according to plan with Clemson taking a firm grasp over their division with a 41-7 win over the North Carolina State Wolfpack a week ago and are currently favored heavily in every game they play for the rest of the season. The Coastal Division? My God. Virginia Tech was leading the division going into the game going into the matchup and with that loss have fallen behind a 5-2 Virginia Cavaliers team.
Miami, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Duke, and (of all teams) Pittsburgh all have legitimate shots to win the ACC Coastal division. If any of these teams run the table, they could end up playing (likely Atlantic winner) Clemson for the ACC Championship.
Can Bronco Mendenhall take the WaHoos to the ACC championship in his third season at Virginia? Can Miami bounce back and claim what most thought they already had won? Can we see a Clemson revenge game against Pittsburgh? Who really knows at this point? The ACC Coastal Division might be the second most interesting divisional battle behind the battle for the Pac-12 South.
