College Football Playoff Rankings 2018: Top 25 projections for Week 10
By Zach Bigalke
Army reached bowl eligibility on Saturday as they toppled Eastern Michigan 37-22 in Ypsilanti. The Black Knights turned the only turnover of the night into a touchdown, effectively flipping the script on an otherwise relatively even encounter with that opportunity. The Black Knights played a disciplined, efficient game that could push them into the College Football Playoff rankings this week.
Kelvin Hopkins Jr. threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 7-of-8 passing, helping balance out an offense mainly focused on running the ball. Hopkins also led the way with 105 rushing yards on the road, as the Black Knights finished with 289 yards and two scores on the ground. Eastern Michigan was held to only 235 yards all day.
With their only losses to date coming against Duke and Oklahoma, Army seems like as logical a choice as any for the committee to slot in at No. 25 in this week’s Top 25 list. The Black Knights will look to build on that momentum with a victory over service-academy rival Air Force in Week 10.
